Research we fund
We identify and invest in high-impact, strategic research projects as well as funding competitive research grants across the entire research pathway.
We believe it is important to invest early in innovative pancreatic cancer research to build capacity in Australia, fast-track discovery and accelerate new treatments to patients.
Our research investments are assessed by our internationally renowned Scientific Advisory Panel and selected experts.
Competitive grants
Grant recipients are selected through a competitive, formal grant process, reviewed by our Scientific Advisory Panel. Previous recipients have generated high impact publications that have significantly increased our understanding of pancreatic cancer.

Importance of a pancreatic cancer research fund
Considering that 3 out of 10 people survive a year after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis (1), pancreatic cancer research in Australia is severely underfunded. That’s why at PanKind, we are dedicated to continuing to grow our pancreatic cancer research fund, ensuring that help is provided to those who need it.
We also provide general information to the public, making sure that our research and funding is complemented by understanding. By visiting our patient & carer hub, you’ll be able to find relevant information regarding pancreatic cancer management, whether you’re a patient or a carer.
