Play in Purple Football
Play in Purple, the nationwide awareness campaign that sees footy clubs turn purple for pancreatic cancer, is back for 2025, bigger and better than ever- 26/27 July and 2/3 August.
Since 2015, Play in Purple has been uniting clubs, players, and the broader community to raise awareness for pancreatic cancer.
With more than 35,000 players pulling on their purple socks, we have raised over $500,000 for vital pancreatic cancer research.
Getting involved couldn't be easier - by simply swapping your club socks for Pankind purple socks on one weekend of the season, you're helping to raise awareness that a healthy lifestyle, social connection, and exercise can reduce the risk of cancer.
Key information for the 2025 campaign
- Play in Purple 2025 will take place on 26 / 27 July, and 2/3 August. Your club can choose the weekend that suits you best.
- Players Australia-wide can get involved in Play in Purple. All it takes is a simple change from your local club socks to purple socks on your chosen weekend.
- We have a NEW sock design for 2025! The funds raised will go directly toward pancreatic cancer research.
- Registrations for Play in Purple are open now. Visit playinpurple.org.au to register your club, buy socks and download the assets for your campaign.
