Help us make pancreatic cancer impossible to ignore

Every November, communities around the world come together for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. It’s our moment to talk openly about pancreatic cancer to raise awareness of the symptoms and the need for earlier detection and better treatments.

Pancreatic cancer is one of the toughest common cancers. Symptoms can be vague and easy to miss, there’s no routine screening test, and treatment options are still too limited. That isn’t fair, and we won’t accept it.

Awareness is where change starts. When more people know the signs, more people ask questions sooner. When more people speak up, research gets the funding and focus it deserves. This month, we’re asking you to be part of that change.

This November, help us make pancreatic cancer impossible to ignore.

World Pancreatic Cancer Day, 19 November 2026

WORLD PANCREATIC CANCER DAY

On Thursday 19 November the world turns purple.

World Pancreatic Cancer Day is held on the third Thursday of November each year, uniting people around the world behind one message: pancreatic cancer deserves more attention, more funding and more hope.

As a proud member of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition, Pankind is joining organisations worldwide to light up landmarks and communities in purple, sparking conversations and showing support for everyone affected.

Pancreatic cancer signs and symptoms can be vague and easy to miss. Knowing what to look for, and acting on it early, matters.

These symptoms are often caused by other, less serious conditions. Speak to your GP if you notice anything new and ongoing for you.

More about symptoms

Signs of pancreatic cancer: jaundice (yellow skin or eyes, seek urgent medical advice); nausea or loss of appetite; back pain or abdominal pain; diabetes that is new or suddenly harder to manage; fatty stools that are pale, oily and hard to flush; unexplained weight loss.
