There has to be a better way. You can help us find one.
Pancreatic cancer is Australia's third deadliest cancer. Survival rates have barely moved in 15 years. Current treatments are brutal - and for too many people, they're still the only option.
Your gift before 30 June can help fund the research that changes that.
Why we need your help right now
For many cancers, treatment has improved dramatically over the past 20 years. Survival rates for breast cancer, prostate cancer and melanoma have risen significantly thanks to investment in research.
Pancreatic cancer has been left behind.
Treatment options remain limited and devastating in their side effects. Too many people are told there is nothing more that can be done.
With your support, that's what Pankind is working every day to fix.
Finding a better way of treating pancreatic cancer tomorrow depends on the research we fund today. By donating now, you can help drive crucial research into discovering better treatments for pancreatic cancer.
My family and I really were put through the ringer last year. I was so sick. The side effects were awful and I lost so much weight.
Dee's Story
At 48, Dee was thriving. She had a career she loved, two teenage daughters, and a life full full of family and the outdoors.
On the 6th September 2024, Dee was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
She underwent major surgery and six months of gruelling 'sledgehammer' treatment that stopped her doing everything she loved and unable to leave her bed. Only weeks after she finished treatment and rang the bell, her oncologist told Dee her cancer had spread and there were no more treatment options left - unless she could access a clinical trial.
Dee was one of the lucky ones.
She found a clinical trial with treatment that matched to her specific tumour. After six months, a scan shows her tumour has shrunk by 80%.
"I'm feeling like the old me again. I can go out for dinner. I can eat. I can spend time with my friends."
Dee knows not everyone gets this chance. But she believes research can change that.
“I feel so hopeful now. There’s amazing research going on out there thanks to funding through Pankind. And with your support, I believe that even if this trial stops working, there will be something else out there for me.”
A better way of treating pancreatic cancer is out there and together we will find it.
Dee and her family are fighting for better treatments to improve outcomes for people facing a pancreatic cancer diagnosis.

Your donation funds research that changes lives
Last year, Pankind invested in 15 innovative pancreatic cancer research projects. Each one bringing us closer to better, kinder and more effective treatments.
Dr Isabelle Munoz is leading one of these projects, exploring new treatment pathways that could one day transform outcomes for people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
The goal of her project is to develop a highly targeted treatment that maximises effectiveness and minimises side effects for patients.
"Funding from organisations like Pankind is crucial. Without it, some of the most promising projects simply stop."
Dr Isabelle Munoz, Researcher

This treatment has given my family and me something we thought we’d lost - hope. Because of how I’m responding, we dare to hope again. It's given us a future.
