Kicking Goals for a Cure
A Touch of Purple is a community fundraising initiative created in memory of Kim Borg, who died from pancreatic cancer on 4 August 2024, 22 months after her diagnosis.
Kim was known for her warmth, positivity and determination. Her big smile and generous nature left a lasting impression on everyone around her, and her family and friends are continuing her legacy by raising awareness and funds to help improve outcomes for people affected by pancreatic cancer.
On Friday 23 October 2026, the A Touch of Purple committee will host Kicking Goals for a Cure - a special evening of footy, food and fundraising in support of Pankind.
Guests can look forward to a three-course dinner, drinks, guest speakers, live auctions, raffles, door prizes and plenty of AFL-inspired entertainment.
Funds raised through the event will support Pankind’s work to improve outcomes for people affected by pancreatic cancer, including investment in vital research.
Guests are encouraged to wear their favourite team colours with a touch of purple and come together to honour Kim and others impacted by pancreatic cancer.
The A Touch of Purple committee is also running a major raffle, with a $3,500 travel voucher up for grabs.
Raffle tickets can be purchased when booking your event tickets. The winning ticket will be drawn live at Kicking Goals for a Cure on Friday 23 October 2026. The winner does not need to be present and will be contacted if they are not in the room.
