About the Role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our small operational team. This hybrid, part-time role (2-3 days a week) offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a purpose-driven organisation. Attendance in the office will be required weekly, with specific days and hours negotiable upon successful application. The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller, supporting core financial functions and collaborating with the fundraising and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage day-to-day accounting transactions
· Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
· Reconciling donation receipts to third party platforms (Raisely, etc)
· Maintaining and donations on CRM (Salesforce)
· Process donations and donation receipts
· Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing
· Maintain accurate merchandise records, including tracking of sales and internal orders
· Assisting with end-of-month processing and reconciliations
· Ad-hoc financial and transactional processing
Skills and Attributes:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
· Previous experience in NFP sector beneficial
· Proven experience with Xero and Microsoft Excel (non-negotiable)
· Familiarity with Salesforce and donation platforms (desirable but not essential)
· Understanding of NFP legislation and reporting requirements
· High level of accuracy in transaction processing and attention to detail
