Our strategy

Our mission is bold and urgent: To triple pancreatic cancer survival rates by 2030 and significantly improve the quality of life for all those impacted by this devastating disease.

As Australia’s only organisation solely dedicated to pancreatic cancer, we are committed to driving change with purpose, strategy and resolve.

Our mission shapes every decision we make—from the research we fund to the stories we share—ensuring that every action moves us closer to meaningful progress.

We are focused on driving outcomes that make a tangible difference. Our efforts are guided by one goal: a future where pancreatic cancer is more survivable, less isolating, and better understood.

We work across four key areas:

Pioneering Research

We invest in the best scientists and drive the research agenda in Australia to deliver early detection breakthroughs and new treatment possibilities. We are pushing boundaries to create a brighter future.

Compassionate Support

We create accessible, evidence-based resources that help people and families going through pancreatic cancer navigate diagnosis, treatment and beyond and support them every step along the way.

Impactful Advocacy

We collaborate across sectors to drive systemic change and improve the quality, consistency and reach of pancreatic cancer research and care —ensuring everyone, regardless of postcode or income, can access the best care.

Relentless Awareness

We bring pancreatic cancer out of the shadows and into focus. Through national campaigns, education and community engagement, we’re increasing understanding and enabling earlier detection.

We also advocate for patients and families to access the most promising treatments available globally, and work to fast-track those treatments into the Australian system. We fight to close the gap between what’s possible and what’s available.

Though Pankind is a small team, our community is large, engaged and growing. Real change happens when many voices come together, when people feel ownership of a shared mission, and when everyone’s efforts—big or small—are valued and amplified.

This is our strategy—focused, collaborative and built for lasting impact.

By combining action with advocacy, and community with clarity, we are working toward a future where pancreatic cancer is no longer a devastating diagnosis, but a disease we can manage, treat and survive.

Progress is possible. With your support, it’s already happening.
