In 2015–2019, individuals diagnosed with pancreatic cancer had a 13% chance of surviving for five years. Between 1990–1994 and 2015–2019, five-year relative survival for pancreatic cancer increased from 3.7% to 13%.

Only 3 out of 10 people (37%) will survive one year after diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

Mortality

In 2024, it is estimated 3,902 people will die from pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic cancer is the 3rd  biggest cancer killer in Australia in 2024.
